Ask any Vermonter and they will tell you that we actually have 6 seasons around here. Summer, Fall, Stick Season, Winter, Spring and Mud Season. Over the winter, the cold temperatures push frost deep into our dirt roads. Once the warm temperatures and warming sun of spring come around, that frost melts. Not only is it exciting to see winter’s grip release, but it also makes our roads exciting!
2022 was our first spring serving our community from the smoker. It was also the worst mud season we have ever seen. Instead of having customers drive up our hill and get stuck, we decided to offer delivery. Usually with four wheel drive and some ground clearance, we can make it through the mud just fine, but this year we had to ask for some help. Thankfully we had family help us with a large truck to get all the BBQ to people’s door. As crazy as it was to navigate our roads this past season, we were very happy to keep serving our neighbors.
Thank you to everyone who ordered and was patient with us! Now that the roads are smoothing out, we hope to see you all in our backyard for some real good barbecue.
